New York-In love with the city!!! /Νέα Υόρκη-Η πόλη είναι έρωτας!!!

I always enjoyed looking down upon the world… Taking a deep breath in front of the endless universe and getting lost in the gap… Everything seems small from up here, like you can close them in to your palms! And then I stare at the sun getting lost in the depth of the open sky with its red rays reflecting on the glass towers. “I am in love with this world!” I shout in the empty skies and I sigh with happiness that I am a part of it. It did not take me much effort to figure this out… only 1494 feet above the ground and everything looks clear! Here is an image I will always have in my mind. Because after all, the world is truly wonderful!

If you want to get into the Christmas spirit, a visit at the Rockefeller Center is enough for you to stare at the marvelous Christmas tree of the shiny city and the thousands of visitors that come and go for ice skating and shopping from the downtown shops with the spectacular storefronts, while in October you will get into the Halloween spirit with a single visit to the Jack o’ lantern park with the countless light pumpkins. On the ferry to Staten Island you will feel the spring breeze touching softly your face, as you will be watching the city’s lights getting away and in the summer you will find a shelter from the midday heat in a bike or boat ride next to the Central Park Lakes.

 The civilizations, the tastes, the experiences, the images and the peoples come here and get married to each other making a unique mixture that we call New York! An acquaintance with her is enough to change your life forever.

Brooklyn Bridge! A step closer to Manhatan! 

Πάντα μου άρεσε να κοιτάω τον κόσμο από ψηλά... Να παίρνω μια βαθιά ανάσα μπροστά στο απέραντο του κόσμου και να χάνομαι μες το κενό… Τα πάντα φαίνονται μικρά από δω, σαν να μπορείς να τα κλείσεις στην παλάμη σου! Και ύστερα χαζεύω τον ήλιο να χάνεται στο βάθος του ανοιχτού ουρανού με τις ροδοκόκκινες ακτίνες του να καθρεφτίζονται στους γυάλινους ουρανοξύστες. «Αυτόν τον κόσμο τον έχω ερωτευτεί!» φωνάζω στο κενό κι αναστενάζω χαρούμενος που είμαι κομμάτι του. Δε χρειάστηκε πολύ για να το καταλάβω… Μόνο 1494 πόδια πάνω και όλα τώρα φαίνονται ξεκάθαρα! Να μια εικόνα που θα κουβαλάω συνέχεια στο μυαλό μου. Γιατί τελικά, ο κόσμος είναι πραγματικά υπέροχος!

Αν θέλεις να μπεις στο πνεύμα των Χριστουγέννων, αρκεί μια επίσκεψη στο Rockefeller Center για να χαζέψεις το φαντασμαγορικό δέντρο της φωτισμένης πόλης και τους χιλιάδες επισκέπτες που έρχονται να κάνουν πατινάζ και να ψωνίσουν από τα καταστήματα τις εκθαμβωτικές βιτρίνες του κέντρου, ενώ τον Οκτώβριο θα μπεις στο πνεύμα του Halloween με μία επίσκεψη στο πάρκο του Jack o’lantern με τις κολοκύθες. Στο καραβάκι για το Staten Island θα νιώσεις το ανοιξιάτικο αεράκι να χαϊδεύει το πρόσωπό σου, καθώς θα βλέπεις τα φώτα της πόλης από μακριά και το καλοκαίρι θα βρεις δροσιά κάνοντας ποδήλατο ή βαρκάδα δίπλα από τις λίμνες του Central Park.
